Yes, @shy-microphone-28807 I can confirm there is a problem with our
    pulumi/actions:latest
    and
    pulumi/actions:v1.8.1
containers. We are working on a fix and should have
    pulumi/actions:latest
fixed this afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to run pulumi on a self-managed backend. I'm trying to do this on a digitalocean space. Is this possible? I've managed my space with s3cmd I've tried logging in with
    pulumi login -c url
I either can't login or I get following error using
    pulumi stack import --file filename
: error: failed to load checkpoint: blob (key ".pulumi/stacks/staging.json") (code=Unknown): MissingRegion: could not find region configuration Some help would be hugely appreciated, I'm in big need of sharing states between 2-3 persons.

Hi - I am trying to install on a Ubuntu 20.04 vm but 'pulumi version' does not work. Even if I go to .pulumi/bin to invoke. Do I need to be on 19.10 as latest? Also how do I invoke the pulumi curl script to install into a specific directory and not $HOME please? Thank you.

We have followed the instructions on https://www.pulumi.com/docs/guides/continuous-delivery/github-actions/ and https://www.pulumi.com/docs/guides/continuous-delivery/github-app/ but cannot get the pulumi
    bot
to integrate and post to the PR. The only way we’ve been able to get it to post anything is to turn on the
    COMMENT_ON_PR
    flag (along with the
    GITHUB_TOKEN
)... but that results in the ugly
    pulumi --non-interactive preview
    comment coming from
    github-actions
bot... Are those docs up-to-date, or are we missing something critical in the setup/configuration? I’ve confirmed that the GitHub App is installed, and has permissions (in GH) to our repository.

Install on windows went fine but running "pulumi up" from a git bash window says

I tried powershell and it works just fine. Is there a known issue with git bash?

Hi! I am trying to run a

After a long time not using Pulumi, I came back to create a new project. I started out with
    pulumi new aws-typescript
and that created the project with no problems, but now when I try to login/logout/up or wte I get this following message
error: could not determine current cloud: could not load current project: yaml: line 3: mapping values are not allowed in this context
    Anyone faced this issue before?

Hi pulumi team, first of all thanks for providing pulumi, I prefer it over terraform 🙂 I'm having problems getting it to run inside our CI/CD pipeline and since there is no channel for the CLI or for the docker-image, I figured install is better than general. When I run
    pulumi login <azblob://pulumi>
    then I get
error: problem logging in: failed to get the home path: getting current user: luser: unable to get current user
. I don't think it is connected to the azure blob storage, but to our environment. The CLI is taken from https://hub.docker.com/r/pulumi/pulumi:latest and we run it on Openshift (v3.11) as a Jenkins Kubernetes Agent. Since containers on Openshift are not running as a special user, but random, I assume that this is the reason for the failure. We have also set the HOME env, but still it fails. Any ideas?

Hi folks – I just switched to a new machine and when running pulumi up the first time it should™ install all the providers. However… `error: could not load plugin for random provider 'urn😛ulumi:****::gcp-services:😛ulumi:providers:random::default_2_2_0': no resource plugin 'random-v2.2.0' found in the workspace or on your $PATH, install the plugin using pulumi plugin install resource random v2.2.0`` when running the suggested command I get a
403 HTTP error fetching plugin from <https://get.pulumi.com/releases/plugins/pulumi-resource-random-v2.2.0-darwin-arm64.tar.gz>
any suggestions? the exact release seems to exist https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi-random/releases/tag/v2.2.0

I posted this in getting started channel but then found this channel which seems more appropriate... I am trying to install the python package for pulumi_azure_native on a windows 11 machine. I keep getting error messages when I run the command "pip install pulumi_azure_native" and it appears to be an issue with a requirement for C++ build tools. I have installed the latest C++ tools and rebooted but still getting errors. I am running the latest version of python. I had previous gotten an error about missing wheel and resolved that by installing it. This is the lowest line from the traceback: File "C:\Users\timot\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python311\Lib\site-packages\setuptools\_distutils\command\build_ext.py", line 547, in build_extension objects = self.compiler.compile( ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "C:\Users\timot\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python311\Lib\site-packages\setuptools\_distutils\_msvccompiler.py", line 423, in compile raise CompileError(msg) distutils.errors.CompileError: command 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Microsoft Visual Studio\\2022\\BuildTools\\VC\\Tools\\MSVC\\14.34.31933\\bin\\HostX86\\x64\\cl.exe' failed with exit code 1 My question is, is anyone familar with this error and can suggest a way around it?

Could you clarify why? (I’m just starting to use nix and trying to understand. It’s not intuitive that you should not use
pulumi
.)
