It’s telling me to install the pulumi github app
even though I’ve done that already

Someone from the team will take a look at fixing your github app installation shortly. Can you share your user/orgname and github user/orgname? In the meantime, you can use raw git configuration (
Source control settings
-> change
Github
to
Git
) to try the product out if you like.

@fresh-spring-82225 when you say you’ve already installed the app, did you do that through the settings ui? if not, and you previously installed the GH app from github.com, that installation won’t work with deployments. you’ll need to uninstall it and re-install from the settings page.
f
@hallowed-photographer-31251 I believe did it through the pulumi settings ui. I’ll try uninstalling/reinstalling just in case.
@hallowed-photographer-31251 just to be clear, when I click “Install Pulumi GitHub App” in pulumi Settings/Deploy, it takes me to https://github.com/apps/pulumi/installations/new, and that’s where I install the app?
@lemon-agent-27707 will DM you
h
@fresh-spring-82225 that’s right, but you need to follow the link from the UI — it includes some metadata deployments needs in order to use the installation.
f
@hallowed-photographer-31251 Okay, I clicked on that Install button on https://app.pulumi.com/monolith-corp/axial/dev/settings/deploy and went through the app install again (after uninstalling). Still no joy.
h
@fresh-spring-82225 are you a github admin on the repo you’re trying to install the app into?
f
@hallowed-photographer-31251 yes
h
@fresh-spring-82225 your app should be fixed now — if you reload the settings page on monolith-corp it should let you configure deployments now
f
ahah, thanks!
