Amplifying this announcement here a bit. A lot of the use cases for package authoring center around making a TF provider available for Pulumi and configuring it for the best experience. It is now possible to use any TF provider with on-demand SDK generation without an intermediate build step or having to have a repository. This doesn't give as much control to the provider author to optimize the experience but it also massively reduces the workload, as chances are if you have a TF provider published your users can use it from Pulumi now without any further work.
