Which version of pulumi-aws are you running? There was a similar <https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi-aws/issues/4194|issue> which supposedly was fixed in <https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi-aws/releases/tag/v6.42.1|v6.42.1>

<@U03TDBDDBCH> indeed, the problem was with a devcontainer that did not actually rebuilt properly with the last version of the plugin. I'm deleting this post to avoid unnecessary noise.
