Is there any tooling to help with schema generation yet, or alternatively a decent interface/class for TS?

Not currently but we're actively experimenting with things for schema generation from TS at the moment.

Fair enough, thanks. I started putting together a more modern template repo for TS-based packages, the missing link is definitely something to either define the schemas in-line with the resources or to outright generate them
