Folks, I am absolutely stumped.  I have an RDS instance that is trying to be replaced and I cannot for the life of me figure out why.  I have deletion protection enabled so I can still try to apply the rest of my changes but it's starting to get in the way.  I'm looking for some tips on advanced troubleshooting of why something might be attempting to replace itself.

Do you know when it got flagged as needing replacing, and if so can you check the git logs around that time?

It's a good question, but it's been this way for quite some time unfortunately.  Project wasn't getting a ton of traffic and it was doing _ok_ for a bit so I just let it go and fail consistently on the replace of the RDS

I did happen to get a bit further and somehow I had duplicate records in my pulumi state for the RDS instance

I did some state surgery and got back online, but it was very difficult to figure out the correct way to engage with pulumi here and there was nothing informative from any commands I could run
