hi there, just wondering my team is on the
Pulumi Cloud Team
plan and we get 150k free credits/month. i was just wondering if the
Enterprise
plan also gets the first 150k credits for free too? the pricing page is a little unclear about that
l
It doesn't. It gets cheaper credits.
Hmm. No, it doesn't even get that.
Wow. the pricing page has changed a lot since I last looked at it. No mention of credits any more, it's just resources/month.
Team says "$0.37, after 200 free", and I guess the 200 free lines up to the old 150k free credits.
Enterprise says "$1.10 / Custom", with no mention of free.
There's some misleading comments in there. In the FAQ "What can I do with 200 free resources per month", it says
You could manage 200 S3 buckets or 200 EC2 instances for a month using this amount.
But even with only one stack and no other resources, you'd be limited to 199 buckets, and they'd be pretty insecure since you couldn't configure their lifecycle policies, public access blocks, bucket policies, etc. Since they're all additional resources. It'd be even worse for EC2 instances, since you'd need at least a VPC, a subnet, a routing table with routes, a security group with rules, maybe an NACL with rules, etc. etc.
f
yep 200 free resources == 150k credits. Enterprise does not receive 200 free resources.
agreed that answer could be simplified!

ok thanks! yeah ok for us then it probably makes sense to stay on the lower tiered plan then. it might be worth reconsidering extending that to enterprise so people are incentivised to work their way up your pricing tier earlier, but i’m sure you’ve thought about that already anyway :)))) let me know if anything changes with that pls
l
I think people switch to Enterprise mostly for the features.
p
yeah checks out

SSO, RBAC and enterprise support. Very important for most companies
