I noticed that the Google Cloud native provider for Pulumi has had all development paused. Does anyone have an update on why and how much this affects your use of GCP?

I find the classic provider very cumbersome, as it gets many structures from the TF provider. I wish the native provider will take direct concepts and actions from the API, and don't know why the dev was paused, would like to help with dev if resumed
