Hello, a lot of webinars are scheduled in the weekday mornings, when most of us have team meetings. Can we shift them to the afternoons instead?
s
Except that for some of us that is quite late in the day...
a
It should not be in core business hours.
s
Core business hours for who though? Collectively we work in a lot of timezones. Randomly, I found considerable success running standups toward the end of the day instead of in the morning...
a
Looks like Pulumi is using its own work hours, as in PDT.
Anyway, 9 AM PDT is not very friendly.
s
9 am PDT, is 12 eastern, is 17:00 where I'm sitting and is 18:00 in much of Europe - so who, exactly, is it not friendly to? This is an impossible problem...
e
Yeh there's no perfect time to do these. 9am was seen as not too early for the US and not too late for Europe.

Hi @adamant-lawyer-19698, thanks for your feedback! As Murph and Fraser mentioned, the current workshop time was chosen to accommodate the largest number of people. That said, we completely understand it's not ideal for everyone. We're actively exploring additional time options — including earlier sessions for EU audiences, like the upcoming #CRH5ENVDX workshop, and later ones that are also APAC friendly, like the recent Kubernetes workshop we held at 4 PM PT / 10 AM AEDT (this was Sydney, Australia TZ before their hour changed).
The workshop with Docker is part of our Platform Engineering series, a continuation of the Platform Engineering Foundations course (now on demand). You are welcome to join the #C087Y05QHPF channel, where you can ask questions before or after the workshop — our trainers are there to help and are happy to discuss platform engineering, IDPs, and more. After the workshop, if you opted in to receive emails, you will receive the link to the recording and demo code on GitHub. Just like with the Foundations course, if you register for all workshops in the series, you'll get direct access to the entire course on demand and all related resources after this series is finished.
