Hi folks, could somebody shed some light on the vision for this project? I noticed there's been hardly any activity in the repo since Public Preview came out in May, it frankly seems pretty dead. Is there a path to GA here? Maybe a roadmap that could be shared? Or just anything that could help guide my expectations regarding the future of the project. Thanks.
@white-balloon-205 could you or anyone else from the team comment on this? Thanks
w
@freezing-umbrella-5483 Definitely. I'm very excited about what the Pulumi CDK integration enables. Honestly, the limited work on the project since launch is mostly because (1) it works as expected for all the core scenarios so far and (b) we've seen somewhat limited usage so far, so haven't had the feedback coming in to guide the next level on investment. That said, we expect to invest more here in the next few months. The biggest known thing is just that this is TypeScript-only for now. We were waiting to get more feedback on the TypeScript API before making this multi-language. Have you used the Pulumi CDK integration? Has it worked well for you? Are there and issues or features that are limiting what you can do with Pulumi and CDK?

Thanks for the response. It's the usual catch-22 for me - I can't invest a meaningful amount of time to it if I'm not sure it has a future. I would like to see a somewhat clear path to GA at least. Right now, there are issues in the github repo from April that have zero comments or activity, so I'm very wary about spending time to learn the tool. Is there a roadmap for this that you can share? Is the team committed to getting it to GA?
w
Yep - we're committed to getting to GA. The timeline for that will depend on usage and feedback. The issues from April are largely nice to haves or internal tooling things, not things that would limit usage today (except for non-TypeScript language support - which is the one big item noted above).

Okay, thanks. What if there's no uptick in usage and feedback and the current trend continues - will there be a GA still?
