interesting news about the new azure-nextgen provider - will there be a way to migrate to using it without affecting resources?

At the moment, there is no automated way to do so. The resource models are often quite different. We are working on some tooling to import any resources from Azure,  that could also be potentially used for migration.

if i was to rewrite my stack to use nextgen (and get all the properties right) will the existing functionality for adopting resources by specifying the ID work?

or is that what you mean, and it doesn't work yet

very keen to get AKS working as we can't update any of our existing clusters that used the advanced load balancer

I checked and import doesn’t work in this version yet, but I’ll prioritize to get it out soon, thanks for reminding!
