This (cryptic) error indicates that Pulumi can’t find the resource provider plugin for the AWS package. Can you check the contents of your ~/.pulumi/plug-ins folder?

I'm running another stack from another folder just fine (npm is still on 0.14 there)

Hm. Do you see the same failure if you run `pulumi preview`? I expect that you will, but I'd like to be sure.

Refresh also shows preview, but performing fails
