It is "tracked" but treated as "external" meaning it won't be managed by Pulumi.

the fact that this says "delete" is misleading - it will actually just be deleted from the checkpoint file - not the provider.  We will be fixing that as part of <https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/issues/2015>.

As you can see in that issue - I had the same reaction you did on seeing "delete" here :slightly_smiling_face:
