There was work by @gentle-garden-42975 on Azure Blob backend in https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/pull/2026. Others are tracked in https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/issues/1966 and https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/issues/2058.
