Is the support currently in the Datadog Terraform provider sufficient?

I actually did this work a while back and could revive it pretty easily I thik

Oh, I did see some mentioning of the TF bridge, but didn’t quite understand how does it work and wether there are any additional steps required

There are some steps required - they’re fairly straightforward though. If the TF provider contains all the resources you need it should be simple enough to stand up though.
