This is related to some early work on Policy as Code for Pulumi.  We'll be sharing more details on getting folks to join a beta to provide feedback in the next few days!  This is also on the Roadmap as "Gated Deployments", which is the initial scenario for policy that we're tackling.

That work won't be part of the subset of things that are officially labelled "1.0", but we do expect to be making it available in a "beta" in a similar timeframe.
