Does anyone know if this <https://www.pulumi.com/docs/reference/pkg/vsphere/> will work on the free vmware product: <https://www.vmware.com/uk/products/vsphere-hypervisor.html>

Like a lot of the other Pulumi providers, this vsphere provider is built on top of the corresponding Terraform provider. Looking at the TF vSphere provider (<https://www.terraform.io/docs/providers/vsphere/index.html>), I notice this at the top of the page:
`*NOTE:* This provider requires API write access and hence is not supported on a free ESXi license.`

The VMWare website is terrible - I can't even figure out what product I should be buying - litterally can't give them money
