It's something related to the latest version of cert manager released today. It doesn't happen with the previous version

<@U010HMD726L> did you eventually find out what was happening? Pulumi is hanging for me on `preview`/`update` after upgrading `cert-manager` from v0.13.x to v0.16.1 (can’t yet go to v1 because of k8s 1.15)

<@UK4HNFLCB> not really, but I uninstalled and installed 1.0.1 and didn't have any problems. Can you not upgrade k8s?

That’s on the plan, but I don’t have control over that.
