Agreed - but also both Azure functions and AWS Lambda let your run scripting languages (i.e. bash. powershell and, I think, whatever you want in a container) as functions so in theory at least you'd be able to do this at a more fundamental level providing you meet all the other constraints (which I suppose one would have to do anyway).
