Although with automation API you still need to have the CLI installed

<@U01FB0HRB2Q> Could you explain why the CLI is required, is this specific to hosting an automation program within Kubernetes? I am hoping that my Pulumi automation program will eventually run in a transient general purpose environment such as an Azure function.

Because the automation api is a wrapper that runs the CLI under the hood
