when will awsx for python be available?

We don't have a fixed timeline for this yet. We are currently focusing on adding core Pulumi support for authoring components in one language and using them from other languages so that we can share the same version of

awsx

across multiple supported languages (instead of creating and maintaining N copies of the library). That work is actively in progress - but we aren't yet confident on when it will be ready to go. You can follow https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/issues/2430 to get updates on progress here.
