Will Pulumi be at AWS re:invent this year?

Indeed - we’ll have several folks from the team at both re:invent and kubecon. We’ll have a booth at both events as well. Would love to meet up with anyone who will be at those conferences!

I’m not sure I see it quite that way - CDK is a lot more like Troposphere in that it generates CloudFormation templates.
It looks a bit more like Pulumi than Terraform, but both Pulumi and Terraform are in the same class of tools that execute locally against a declarative model vs submitting a template to the provider a la ARM Templates or CloudFormation

Good point. I was more thinking about resources it can manage - only AWS*, while Pulumi and Terraform - not only that. AWS is not moving towards being a tool which can manage other types of resources.

Ah that part is true - pulumi can manage pretty much anything Terraform can (and then has its own first class providers) - CDK is AWS only

Anton, will you be there also? I'd love to meet and talk and hear your follow on impressions after our chat at HashiConf -- we are also thinking about ways to make Terraform modules consumable from inside if Pulumi programs which I'd love your feedback on too!

Yes, I will be there. Not sure that I will have time to try Pulumi before that. I have couple important projects due AWS re:invent to show there.
