Founding Infrastructure / Platform Engineer (In-Person, Seattle/Chicago)
Hey everyone — founder of
Silkline here. We're building a supply chain platform helping hardware companies manage quotes, orders, parts, and procurement workflows. We work with defense and aerospace customers, which means we're deep in
FedRAMP territory.
What we need help with:
•
Security hardening — Kubernetes network policies, pod security standards, secrets rotation, VPC endpoint tightening, internal networking for pod-to-pod comms
•
FedRAMP compliance — documenting controls, audit logging, building out the compliance posture on GovCloud
•
Infrastructure improvements — progressive deployments (canary/blue-green), GitOps adoption, cost optimization, disaster recovery planning, SLO/SLI definitions
•
Developer experience — smoothing out local dev, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipeline improvements
This isn't a "maintain the status quo" role. The foundation is solid (Pulumi everywhere), but there's meaningful work to do as we scale and meet compliance requirements.
If you're into Pulumi, AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, and want to own infrastructure at a growing startup where your work directly impacts security and compliance outcomes — DM me. Check out the JD
