I am curious about nomenclature: with “control plane” and “data plane” in mind (blurb) how does Pulumi fit into the picture? Intuitively I’d put it into the control plane but that terminology doesn’t seem to be used much in the documentation. What are your thoughts?

This is just my opinion, but I don't think these terms really apply to Pulumi per se. You might call Pulumi Cloud a control plane, but I hear these terms used more for runtime technologies like Kubernetes.

I guess I would question why it matters whether Pulumi is part of the control plane or the data plane.
