Sorry no. I'm not the node expert around here. I don't see why we wouldn't support it so if you give it a go and it breaks raise an issue and we can get someone to look into it.

Ah raise an issue at <https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi/issues>, if you've got a small repro program that would be a big help to see exactly how you've got esm modules set up.
