Does the pulumi project name have to be unique in an organization or can I have the same project name in different git repositories?

Project names need to be unique across the organisation

Okay thanks. The user interface made me wonder, as I see the git repository scope around the project.

Yeh they don't need to be tied to git repos but we pass that through as metadata and use it in the UI

we have an open issue to fix the ui, as it is quite confusing.
