I think you might be able to track this with the <https://pkg.go.dev/github.com/pulumi/pulumi/sdk/v3@v3.52.1/go/auto/optup#EventStreams|engine event stream>, but it's odd that it's not just returned more clearly in the summary result at the end.

I don't but I think you just need to be looking at the ResOpFailedEvent field (if it's set) and grabbing Metadata.URN to show the user.
