is there a way to connect pulumi to kubernetes with service connection?

can you elaborate a little more? Pulumi connects to the Kubernetes API

If I have a service connection secret extracted from kubernetes cluster, will I be able to connect to that from pulumi without having the kubectl installed on my computer?
