Any examples with NodeGroups using spotPricing?

this doesn't really line up with this:

<https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/cost-optimization-and-resilience-eks-with-spot-instances/> (see under *Provision the worker nodes*)

the resource from EKS you're referencing is a managed node group. If you want spot instances, you'll need to create an unmanaged node group (using an autoscaling group and launchtemplate) and add some userdata to it to join your EKS cluster
