To amplify on this: GitHub's cloud-hosted SSO is, put frankly, awful, and GitHub Enterprise is also not great. We use a self-hosted GitLab. But, more to the point, we use a third-party SSO provider (Okta, in our case) and just SAML to everything. Going back to earlier conversations with @lemon-spoon-91807, this is a feature we'd be willing to pay for.

Got it, thanks. 👍

I'm sure that @lemon-spoon-91807 told you, but If you're interested in on-prem hosting of the entire experience, we'd love to talk to you more about the requirements on your end there. We definitely want to enable cases like that, but we'd want to work closely with some interested parties while building that out that product.

Eventually, yes, I would be interested in that, and I would be happy to provide feedback along the way; we don't have an infrastructure sophisticated enough to manage that ourselves right now, though, so secure and safe remote access is kind of a big thing for us.
(Which mostly translates to SSO, as per chatting with @big-piano-35669 earlier.)
But I've been at plenty of places that did have such requirements, for sure.
