This coming Thursday (3/19) the Pulumi team will be doing a day-long Pulumi Hackathon. This time, we'd love to open the Hackathon up to anyone and everyone in the Pulumi Community who would like to join us! 🎉 We've done these hackathons roughly monthly, to spend some time using new features, building interesting projects on top of Pulumi, and trying out interesting new cloud technologies (using Pulumi of course 😄). If you want to join us to build something cool with Pulumi, or to help get some more eyes on some of our new Pulumi 2.0 features (https://www.pulumi.com/blog/pulumi-2020-update/), please do join us on Thursday. We'll be hanging out in the #hackathon-03-19-2020 channel during the day, asking and answering questions and showing off progress on projects throughout the day. We'll also be doing a kickoff session in the AM (PT) and a demo session in the PM (PT) which will we will share Zoom invites for in the channel for anyone who would like to join (and show off your projects!). where can I see some more information on the hackathon? is there a theme? how do i participate?

Right now - this is all the info 😄. We'll share more in the #hackathon-03-19-2020 channel over the next few days. The core theme is "Pulumi 2.0", and any projects you are interested in working on using Pulumi 2.0 features are welcome. Our goals are to use a new area of the product (Go, .NET, Policy as Code, Testing, etc.), or a new cloud technology, and to report issues we find that could be improved in Pulumi as we build things. Any project you have in mind to try building with a new Pulumi technology (either in 2.0, or new to you!) is welcome.

@white-balloon-205 small request to use another date naming. In Europe, we are so not used to the illogical MM-DD-YYYY structure. 😄

@limited-rainbow-51650 fair point - next time we’ll use a less ambiguous YYYY-MM-DD name. Hopefully given there’s only one and it’s two days away it’s clear enough for this first one 😄.
