It's stable but soon to be deprecated. There's an entirely new 1.0.0 beta.

The 1.0.0 beta is a multi-language component, so all resources are available across all the languages we support. The 0.0.40 is Node (javascript/typescript only). it’s pretty stable in that people use it in production deployments
