Where are `project name`  stored when running the Pulumi CLI?

I'm trying out Pulumi and keep getting  `Sorry, 'x' is not a valid project name. A project with this name already exists`    when creating a new project and give name x.

Where is this stored so I can obliterate it? Re-installed Pulumi CLI and deleted from the web UI but still getting this

Yes. I did `rm /home/$USER/.pulumi` and re-installed. Cheers
